Kato Stalos is the most touristic part of the village of Stalos, offering a wide range of options in dining, accommodation and entertainment. The beach is sandy and stretches for many kilometers continuing to the neighboring seaside villages. In Kato Stalos Beach one can find several beach bars, water sports and sunbeds with umbrellas, and it is easy to access calmer parts of the beach without too many visitors, as well.
Right across the beach is the islet of Agii Theodori. Because of the sand that characterizes the beach of Stalos, it is easy to do sports on the beach. Beach volleyball, racquets, football, running are some of the many sports that one can engage in. Stalos beach has won a blue flag every year since 2006. Kato Stalos attracts a large number of visitors every summer both from abroad and from Greece and is also preferred by the permanent residents of Chania.
